Ozone Flow V2 Ultra-X

The Ozone Flow V2 Ultra-X takes the intuitive, easy-handling character of the Flow V2 and adds a high-performance construction designed to make it lighter, stiffer and more responsive. The result is a wing that feels effortless to use, with excellent low-end power, strong control when the wind picks up and a smooth, predictable drift on the wave.

The Ultra-X uses a hybrid Aluula and 125g Performance Dacron airframe, allowing Ozone to reduce the diameter of both the leading edge and strut while increasing stiffness where it matters most. The entire strut and key sections of the centre leading edge are made from Aluula, creating a very direct connection between the rider and the wing. This gives the Flow V2 Ultra-X excellent pumping power in lighter winds and an extra gear when you need to generate speed.

The stiffer central frame also helps prevent the canopy from deforming in stronger gusts, giving the wing a wider usable wind range and reducing the amount of effort needed to hold it down. Combined with the reduced-diameter airframe, this creates a fast, responsive wing with less drag and quick, controlled handling through turns.

Ozone has also tuned the wing tips with smaller diameters, particularly on the smaller sizes up to 4.3m. This allows pressure to release more quickly at the tips, contributing to the light, throw-around handling that makes the Ultra-X so easy to manoeuvre.

The 125g Performance Dacron works alongside the Aluula sections to keep weight down while adding a degree of controlled flex. It helps absorb turbulence and provides a smoother, more comfortable feel without losing the direct response of the stiffer Aluula frame.

For the rider, all of this translates into a wing that is light, fast and highly responsive, with impressive pumping ability, stability in gusty conditions and effortless handling when riding waves or throwing the wing around.
